CNC refers to computer numerical control and it is an industrial development that implies high-tech controls and machine tools to expel the coatings of the material from stock to create the custom hardware parts. 



A CNC machine is a combination of various elements discussed below:

Part Program: Sequence of coded commands to control the movements of the machine.

Automatic Tool Changer: Its main functioning is to reduce cycle times by varying the tools mechanically between the cuts. It is different on tool basis and the number of tools can hold. Variety of tool holders, which is used to handle drills, boring tools, end mills or spot facers. It is available with a gripper arm, chain magazine and disc magazine.

Automatic guided vehicle: It is a transportable robot that is controlled by a computer that runs on the floor without driver and widely used in manufacturing applications to move the stock from and to the different places. Fork, tow, unit load and custom types of AGV is available in the market.

A major advantage of a CNC machine that it adds value to automation methods, and it can work for hours without monitoring. In manufacturing firms, it reduces the cost of hiring an operator.
